Who am I?

Dancer

I started dancing at the age of 4, actually wanting to have no business with it! I thought it was tiring and dull, and believed I could use my time for more valuable activities. But as time progressed, I somehow continued to dance, and my attitude towards dance shifted. I now have been dancing for 13 years and trained in ballet, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, and hip-hop styles. I now deeply value dance as a form of self-expression, being a portal to convey my feelings no other activity can provide. More than that, it’s allowed me to meet and discover a community that I now call family.

Filmmaker

My interest in film stemmed from a project in 10th grade during my time at the Innovation Institute (an interdisciplinary curriculum that combined academic subjects). From there, I took IB Film HL in 11th grade (still taking it!), and have worked on a variety of films and projects. I treat film as a medium to express various themes like coming of age, love, and girlhood, while also using it as a promotional visual design for commercial use.
