The Countdown follows young woman named Aura receiving news that her younger brother Arthur needs a bone marrow stem cell transplant. The family discusses the procedure, and Aura is initially unaware of her brother's condition. The family decides to tell her, and she reacts with anger and sadness. The film concludes with Arthur's successful surgery but at the expense of Aura’s well being and autonomy.
