West Coast is a music video that explores the theme of girlhood through a dream-like aesthetic. The protagonist, originally out at a party, feels uncomfortable and anxious about an unwanted encounter with a man. She hurries back home to find her best friend waiting for her. They take off their makeup, drink warm cups of tea, sing heartfelt music, and dress up to have a party of their own. The audience follows the protagonist as they realize true happiness and comfort come from friendships rather than extrinsic values.
